Eric Morfin, PMP
Eric Morfin is a partner with Critical Skills Inc. whose mission is to increase organizational effectiveness through the establishment of Superior Thinking Skills as a company’s most sustainable competitive advantage. Critical Skills Inc. primary focus is in applying project management best practices to the Pharmaceutical / Biotech / Life Sciences industries.
Eric Morfin has been a project manager since 1987. A sought after speaker on the subject of Project Management, Portfolio Management and Resource Management at North American and Asian symposiums and conferences. Mr. Morfin created the independent BioPharmaPM network (www.biopharmapm.org) after leading several PMI SIGs and Chapters, and created several unique seminars on Project Management in Drug Development such as “Project Management in Discovery and Preclinical” and “Project Management for Global Clinical Trials”.
Mr. Morfin is bilingual in French and English, has traveled extensively in Europe and Asia and earned his M.B.A. in International Business. He currently lives in San Diego

Past Chair (2011) - Tim Krupa

Tim Krupa is a proven leader who assists companies with their clinical development. Tim has a wealth of experience in pharmaceutical development with Big Pharma and the CRO industry. He began his career with Eli Lilly and Company where he led teams in Clinical Operations, Clinical Data Management, Medical Writing, and World Wide Regulatory Affairs. Recently, he served as Executive Director, Project Management at Quintiles, Inc. where he led teams in Project Management and Clinical Operations and gained an intimate knowledge of the Biotech industry.

Past Chair (2009 and 2010) - Aileen Morgan, PMP

Aileen Morgan has a degree in Pharmacy from the University of Strathclyde, is a Member of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain and obtained her MBA from the University of Wisconsin, Parkside. She worked for 10 years for Glaxo UK at their Barnard Castle and Ware locations in a variety of production support and manufacturing supervision positions, gaining experience in the development and manufacture of tablets, injectibles, topicals and inhalation products.

After moving to the US, Aileen worked for Abbott Laboratories at their North Chicago facility for 8 years. Here she worked in R&D process development, with responsibilites for production support and technology transfer of a variety of dosage forms, including tablets, suspensions, emulsions and eyedrops. For the last few years at Abbott Aileen worked in a project management role liaising between R&D and Operations in preparation of new product launches in the anti-infective and oncology ventures.
Aileen moved to Irvine, California to join Allergan as a Sr. Global Project Manager, where she has responsibilities for drug development programs at all phases from IND to launch and where she has had experience developing products in the ophthalmology, neurology, pain and dermatology therapeutic areas. In addition to her role as a project manager, Aileen is also a global team leader for one of Allergan's ophalmology programs and has experience in the project management of several organizational change initiatives. Aileen is married to David, a fellow Scot, and has two children, Iain and Fiona.

Vice Chair - SoCal - Frances Park

Frances Park is a certified project manager with PhD expertise in drug development and 7 years industry experience with domestic and international pharmaceutical companies. After earning her PhD in Biology from UCSD, she joined SGX Pharmaceuticals' structural biology group and then transitioned into project management. She has experience managing internal projects and has managed collaborations with Novartis, OSI, and Asahi-Kasei. Frances lives in San Diego and enjoys the monthly interactions with other project managers discussing best practices, developments and case studies.

Vice Chair - Colorado - Jennifer Carver, PMP

Jennifer Carver joined Allos Therapeutics in 2001, initiating her pharmaceutical career by developing an
outsourcing role within the clinical development department. As interest and involvement with clinical trial
planning grew, Jennifer's role shifted towards project management, which has been her focus for the past three years. In an effort to network with other Colorado pharmaceutical project managers, Jennifer approached Eric Morfin in mid-2007 about starting a Colorado BioPharmaPM local group. Although the Colorado pharmaceutical community is relatively small, the Colorado group has successfully launched quarterly meetings and the group looks forward to expanding its network.

Dee Suberla

De Scacchetti, PMP, Senior Manager Service Delivery Information Systems, joined Daiichi Sankyo, Inc 2001. She has over 20 years experience in Information Technology in both the financial and pharmaceutical industries. Her focus is on achieving alignment between IT and business functions, to improved services, and reduced costs. De received her Project Management Professional certification in 2002. She holds a Bachelors of Science from Kean University with a Major in Computer Science and Minor in Management Information Systems. De is very passionate about her family, work, and volunteer activities. She also is a volunteer for the NJ PMI Chapter. In addition to project Management, De is also an advocate of women and co-chairs the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association – Women in Healthcare IT Affinity Group. De has worked on the leadership team of DSI Women’s Forum and presently chairs their Mentor Committee. Here the mission is on providing professional support to women in IT for their full and equal career advancement.

Dee Suberla has worked in project management for over 25 years in a variety of positions with increasing responsibility in R&D, Manufacturing Engineering, Marketing, and Program Management. She has a BA from Columbia College and an MBA from Webster University. Dee is the Vice Chair of the Chicago BioPharmaPM Network and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).
Dee has experience with later stage drug development and medical devices. She has worked with the Baxter Global Project Management Office to implement a standard approach to project management and product development processes across Baxter.
Dee is a Sr. Program Manager in the Baxter Pharmaceuticals and Technologies (BPT) organization. She leads project and portfolio management initiatives as well as a stage-gate decision process in the BPT Project Management Office.

Mr Kerr has more than 15 years experience in Canada, U.S. and Internationally as Project Management Director, Program Director, Project Manager, Quality Specialist, and Business Process Engineer.
Steven’s early career revolved around the art of project management from implementing ISO and QS 9000 series certifications as a quality specialist while living in Florida to Director of Product and Project Management for a Start up company based in Toronto that served brand pharmaceutical companies marketing efforts. He is currently with Apotex where he is the Manager, Informatics and Project Office for Global Research, Development, and Quality. These experiences built his capabilities as a strong project, program, and portfolio manager.
He has held various project management (engagement management) positions in the areas of healthcare, technology, and management consulting. Though consulting he has helped organizations in the areas of Practice Management, Systems Integration and Implementation, New Product Development and Lifecycle Management, Procurement, E-Commerce, Business Strategy, Product Globalization, International Marketing, and Quality Assurance.
Mr. Kerr has been PMP certified since 2000 and is the cofounder of the Apotex Project Management Community of Practice (PM CoP). He received his Bachelour of Commerce in Management Economics with a specialization in Finance from the University of Guelph including studies at the London School of Economics for international economics. He earned his Masters of Business Administration (MBA) at York Universities; Schulich School of Business.

Jennifer Greenough is Director, Global Project Management in the Commercialization and R&D Compliance department at Amgen Inc. She currently manages development programs in the Inflammation Therapeutic Area, including support of a multi-product alliance. Jennifer has been at Amgen since 1998, including 4 years as part of Immunex Corporation. She has managed drug development projects across the entire product life cycle over the past 12 years. She obtained her PMP in 2005 and has been the Seattle BioPharma Chair since mid-2010.

Mohammed Hasham took over the leadership of Vancouver after Ellen Johnson. Mohammed Hasham works as a Research Program Manager in the PMO at Genome British Columbia, a research organization that invests in and manages small- to large-scale genomics and proteomics research projects and science and technology platforms. Projects are focused on areas of strategic importance such as human health, forestry, fish and fisheries, agriculture, bioenergy, mining, and the environment.
Mohammed has significant project management, business development and analytical research experience from his multiple roles in the biotech/pharmaceutical industry with QLT Inc. and Inimex Pharmaceuticals, as well as from several years of scientific research in molecular biology.
Mohammed graduated from the combined MBA/CMA degree program at Queen’s University in 2003. In addition, he holds an Master of Science in Experimental Medicine (Neurology) from the University of British Columbia, where his research focused on the molecular pathology of Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) and spinal cord injuries.

Matt Kiernan is a Partner at PHARMICA Consulting, a firm which focuses on operational excellence and decision-making capabilities of R&D organizations in the life sciences industry.
Mr. Kiernan has over fifteen years of industry expertise in operational excellence, project management, portfolio management, resource management, metrics, and benchmarking within the R&D value stream.
Mr. Kiernan has worked with many large and small R&D organizations to build the infrastructure for R&D organizations to achieve operational excellence.
Mr. Kiernan has Bachelor of Science degrees in Business, Psychology, and Chemistry. He participated in the chemistry PhD program at Purdue University. He earned an M.B.A. from Villanova University. In addition to these degrees, Mr. Kiernan earned a Black Belt in Six Sigma and has also earned a Project Management certification from the Project Management Institute.

Vice Chair - Singapore - Eva Rongard

Eva started off her pharmaceutical career 2000 at Pfizer AB Sweden as a CRA and soon moved on to AstraZeneca R&D Sweden as study leader/project manager. In AstraZeneca R&D Eva has been leading cross-functional teams to deliver various global studies. In 2005 Eva moved to Sydney to full fill hear dream “to train triathlon under the best conditions”, do an ironman and to qualify to IM Hawaii”. In October 2006 Eva finished IM Hawaii. In Sydney Eva worked for AstraZeneca and Roche. After qualifying to Hawaii, Eva moved back to Sweden and resumed her project manager role with AstraZeneca R&D.
In 2008 Eva followed her husband to Singapore. In Singapore Eva took the opportunity to gain CRO experience both as a line manager and project manager.
Eva holds a master of science with major in molecular biology and has just returned after 7 months maternity leave.
