Breakfast Meetings

Local BioPharmaPM groups can set up either breakfast or dinner meetings. Several groups, including those on the West Coast (USA), have implemented breakfast meetings.

A breakfast meeting runs from 8am to 10am and is hosted by a local Pharmaceutical or Biotech company which provides us with a meeting room and breakfast. The average number of attendees is around 20 participants. Several meetings have achieved over 100 attendees and have reached the maximum number of people that a meeting room could accomodate on one or two occassions. Registering in advance for a meeting is critical so we can appropriately plan for the meeting room and the number of breakfasts.

The meeting starts at 8am with breakfast. The presentation usually begins at 8:30am. Often, we have the opportunity to learn about the project management practices of our host organization before the main presentation. Depending on the length of the presentation and the number of questions, we often have a business meeting from about 9:40am to 10am.

Every meeting has a sign in form to track meeting attendance and to ensure the proper distribution of certificates for PDU and/or attendance purposes.
